Saint Patrick's Day Parades Cancelled Due to Coronavirus

The world famous Saint Patrick's Day parade in Dublin's city centre has been cancelled as a preventative measure against spreading Coronavirus.

Every year, around 500,000 people come from all over the world to celebrate the event. This decision has therefore caused Dublin's tourism department to estimate that this is going to cause a huge crash for the local economy.

In Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council have also made the decision to cancel their Saint Patrick's Day parade due to similar concerns.

In London, the annual parade is still currently planned to go ahead, although the Coronavirus spread continues it too may be cancelled.
