On Tuesday 3rd March, an investiture was carried out at Buckingham Palace. The Queen was seen wearing white gloves for the first time while awarding a CBE to actress Wendy Craig. The palace has not confirmed on whether the decision was linked to the coronavirus outbreak. Fellow members of the Royal family – The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Charles were not wearing gloves.
Following this, Queen Elizabeth II was seen without the gloves during today’s duties at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday 4 March. The queen met several dignitaries from around the world today. including the President of Malta, his wife and the Ambassador of Cuba. She was also seen greeting her guests shaking hands with guests.
