A survey has found that a quarter of Londoners would not take a COVID-19 vaccine because of government mistrust and long term safety issues. This could pose a serious threat to the anticipated national rollout of the vaccine.

The survey, published on 13 November 2020 by the London Assembly Health Committee, also found that people between the ages of 45 and 54 were least likely to accept the vaccine.

According to the survey more than half of the Londoners surveyed were also undecided, and were unsure if the NHS could successfully roll-out a new COVID-19 vaccine when one is ready.

The Byte interviewed the general public about their thoughts on taking the vaccine.
