Gunnersbury Park Museum will be displaying a Lego Statue of a suffragette, who has been named Hope.
The statue will be in the museum until the 28th of March this year. Hope, the statue, took three Lego employees around 171 hours to build. It was initially commissioned in 2018 for the Houses of Parliament and was intended to help teach children more about the history of the suffragette movement.
The statue will be displayed in Gunnersbury Park alongside a temporary exhibition on the suffragette Marion Wallace-Dunlop, which will also last until the 28th of March. Wallace-Dunlop was an Ealing resident and the first suffragette to go on hunger strike.
