Extinction Rebellion Protests continue

Over 1,000 arrests have been made in London this week relating to the extinction rebellion protest. Extinction Rebellion is a group that aims to get emergency action from the government on climate change through peaceful protest.

The protests started last Monday with bases in Oxford Circus, Marble Arch, Parliament Square, and Waterloo Bridge. Among their peaceful protest methods include blocking roads, gluing themselves to trains, and even chaining themselves to Jeremy Corbyn's garden fence.

The group does not plan on stopping the rebellion until the government takes action, no matter how long it takes. London Metropolitan Police dismantled the heart of the operation by taking the giant pink "Tell the Truth" boat parked in Oxford Circus, and arresting much of the crowd. Regent Street and Oxford Street are now back in use.

As for the rest of the Extinction Rebellion, you can still join the cause at Parliament Square, Waterloo Bridge, and Marble Arch.
