Extinction Rebellion Protest Ban

The climate activist group Extinction Rebellion are continuing to protest in London, despite a ban against protesting in the capital from the Metropolitan Police.

The Mayor or London, Sadiq Khan, claims that he was not informed by Metropolitan Police that this ban would be taking place. He tweeted, “I’ve asked Met officers to find a way for those who want to protest the climate emergency to be able to do so legally and peacefully in London.”

Activists with the organisation are now targeting the Department of Transport in protest of the ban.
