Ealing Broadway death sparks conversation on road safety

A man has died after being involved in a car collision in Ealing Broadway. The accident took place near the Ealing Junction of Bond Street in the early hours of last Thursday morning.

Following the incident two men have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Ealing had over a thousand casualties and five deaths for road traffic accidents last year.

This makes it one of the most dangerous boroughs for pedestrians and traffic in London. Ealing Council have drafted a plan to make the roads and paths safer and more accessible by 2040.

According to Ealing Council, the strategy to improve streets in the borough will make it a “safer” and “more accessible place” for all.
