Croydon to become London's Borough of Culture 2023

Mayor Sadiq Khan announced this week that that Croydon will be London’s Borough of Culture in 2023. The title promises Croydon an award of £1.35million in funding to deliver a year-long series of events focusing the themes of sustainability, progress, nature, inclusion, and growth.

The area has produced a plethora of creative talent already, from Kate Moss to Stormzy and in 2019 alone has hosted a series of innovative and exciting events including Croydon Pride, The Ends Music Festival and a Banksy exhibition.
