Celebrated artist Dale Chihuly has a new exhibition in Kew’s Royal Botanic Gardens, running from the 13th April to the 27th October this year.
‘Chihuly: Reflections on Nature’ features large, intricate glass sculptures placed in various locations through the gardens. When visitors enter, maps which pinpoint the location of each sculpture are available. Alternatively, people can choose to leave the maps, instead coming across the sculptures at random.
Each installation is placed within the garden, designed to look as though they have grown alongside the plants. The Temperate House is also home to a new, purposefully designed sculpture.
In the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art, there is also an exhibition dedicated to showcasing videos of Chihuly’s process, along with some smaller sculptures and pieces from Chihuly.
The price of the exhibition is included with entry to Kew Gardens, which is £18.00 for adults, and £9 for concessions.
