Campaigners to prevent the closure of Ealing’s tax office are protesting today.

HMRC plan to close its office in International House, Ealing Broadway which would lead to over two-hundred people losing their jobs, or they would be forced to relocate to an office over twenty miles away, in either Stratford, East London or Croydon, South London.

Members of The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) are representing staff in HMRC, who are fighting to keep their jobs and to continue the vital work they provide.

One member of the National Union says, “We’re defending the right of workers to stay in this office rather than be forced to transfer an unreasonable distance”.

To support the action, send a message of support to RCGroup@pcs.org.uk and use the hashtag #SaveEalingTaxOffice.
