The online fashion group ASOS has benefited from the pandemic to the tune of three million new customers and worldwide sales rising by 19%.
The fashion group now boasts 23.4 million customers, with more than seven million based in the UK. ASOS saw its profits soar as company costs were reduced during lock down and buyers returned fewer items.
ASOS said that buying habits have changed to accommodate this new lifestyle caused by the pandemic.
However, the company also expressed concerns that restrictions on Christmas party activities could affect the company's profits down the line. ASOS is looking into a ‘very promotional’ trading period for this month, with the Halloween celebrations.
