A new advisor to Boris Johnson has resigned. Andrew Sabinsky was set to work on projects for Downing Street, until his comments regarding racial superiority and benefits claimants were unearthed. Sabinsky, who describes himself as a geopolitical “superforecaster”, refused to refute his past claims that black people lower IQs than white people, and that benefits claimants should be instructed to have fewer children.
He accused the media of character assassination and “selective misquoting” in his resignation announcement.
Despite initial silence from both Downing Street and the Conservative Party, the Tory government has since condemned his statements as “racist and unacceptable”.
